In 2018, ATB Financial decided to transform its Annual Report to go digital, encompassing the previous fiscal year’s financial highlights and achievements into an engaging visual experience online.

Thematic elements of the report largely reflected ATB Financial’s brand-level campaigns that were present in the preceding year, such as the This Is Why campaign in 2019.
Known as the ‘Front 20’, this section of the report largely centered on achievements and financial numbers at a higher-level, as the primary audience was largely inclusive of the general public as well as ATB team members. Visual elements largely included high usages of video and imagery, and featured key executives and other members of the organization.
In each edition of the Annual Report, which also includes both the 2019 and 2020 editions, my role largely was to translate the creative direction of the report for that year into usable artifacts for the web. This involved building out the interface of the report so that it was able to be presented across a wide variety of platforms and devices.
Much of this user interface work was done in tandem with both creative and content development of each report, with my goal being to ensure that information is presented clearly and accurately, before handing off to our development team for development and review. Assets developed also included pieces for social media and email marketing related to the fiscal year-end Public Meeting for ATB and relevant stakeholders.
